MEET THE TEAM

JARED FITZGERALD

Owner

Jared's career as a craftsman began as a side job to help him work his way through college at the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduating with degrees in history and Spanish, Jared and his wife Kristin moved to Nashville in 2008. Two years later, in March 2010, they founded Southern Oaks Flooring. Since then, Jared has become a National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Certified Sand & Finisher and Installer, as well as a NWFA Instructor and Wood Floor of the Year Finalist.

Jared and Kristin live in south Nashville with their three boys. When not renovating their home, Jared loves camping, woodworking, and coaching his sons' football teams.

JOE WOLFE

Crew Leader

A native of Baltimore, Joe moved to Nashville in 1998. He has worked in the hardwood flooring industry since 1995, after serving in the United States Marine Corps. Although experienced in carpet, laminate, and vinyl installation, he found his true calling in crafting hardwood floors. Joe is a NWFA Certified Sand & Finisher and Installer, a professional distinction earned through numerous hours of training, education courses, and testing.

Joe and his wife, Karen, live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Joe is a skilled pyrography artist and painter and also enjoys songwriting, playing bass, and completing honey-do lists his wife dreams up.

DALE ALEXANDER

Hailing from Michigan, Dale spent seven years working in automotive manufacturing, before deciding to leave the industry in favor of work that took him outside of dark, cold factories. He began his career in hardwood flooring in 2011, focusing primarily on new residential builds and residential remodels.  He moved to Tennessee in 2018 in order to progress in his career and to enjoy the south's shorter winters.

Dale joined Southern Oaks Flooring in 2019, and our clients and our company immediately benefited from his experience and skill. He is currently working toward obtaining his NWFA certifications, and in his down-time spends time on his motorcycle on Nashville's "perfect roads."
